But in case you are not familiar with this rather specialized knowledge, fret not, for we have the answer at hand.
Discover the stories of the female figures in the movies and how they met their unhappy fates. Except for one, that is, as her story remains untold.
Greta
To delve into the topic of female Gremlins, we cannot overlook the prominent leading lady, Greta. Though the group of female Gremlins is small, Greta stands out as the most well-known of the bunch.
You may not recall her from the original movie, as she made her debut in Gremlins 2.
Greta ingested a serum to enhance her femininity and attractiveness to men, but it had the unintended consequence of making her quite aggressive.
When other Gremlins attempted to pursue her, she would retaliate, apparently reserving herself for Forster, an employee of the Clamp Centre. In fact, she even donned a bridal gown at the film’s conclusion, seemingly preparing to wed him!
Despite the demise of all other Gremlins, Greta remained the sole survivor. Being the most famous (and now solitary) female Gremlin around can be a lonely existence, I suppose!
Deagle
Just when you thought the only Deagle you knew was Gollum’s partner from Lord of the Rings, one of the female Gremlins enters the scene, turning everything on its head.
This time, we’re traveling back to the first Gremlins film, where a Gremlin endeavors to imitate Mrs. Ruby Deagle, a human character.
Online, Deagle is referred to as ‘she,’ and she takes every possible step to resemble Mrs. Human Deagle, donning her wig, hat, gloves, and lipstick.
The Gremlin even alters her voice to sound more like her human obsession, which seems somewhat unsettling.
Sadly, Deagle meets her demise in the movie theater with Stripe, and I won’t divulge the outcome, as it’s still rather fresh.
Christine
Have you happened upon the character in Gremlins 2 who bears a resemblance to Christine from Phantom of the Opera?
Once more, as the Princess Gremlin is addressed as a ‘she,’ we’re incorporating her into our inventory of female Gremlins.
While Greta was occupied with Forster at the Clamp Center, Christine was reproducing.
Like all other Gremlins, she meets her demise at the hands of the Electric Gremlin toward the film’s end.
Nurse Gremlin
Who could overlook Nurse Gremlin?
Once more, another Gremlin identified as ‘she’ and ‘her,’ the Nurse’s duty was to extract fluid from the Vegetable Gremlin.
That chap is certainly an odd-looking fellow! As we are aware, with the exception of Greta, none of the Gremlins survived the Electric Gremlin’s disaster.
Unfortunately, Nurse Gremlin was excluded from the final film cut.
Nonetheless, since we can observe her clearly above, she remains a part of our official female Gremlins roster!
Grace & Valerie – Female Mogwai
We can’t have a list of female Gremlins without talking about these two little Mogwai from Gremlins Gizmo for the Nintendo Wii and NDS!
Grace is a ‘very poised Mogwai’ who loves to play with toys and get her groove on, and Valerie likes to sing and juggle.
While there are four known female Gremlins, these are the only two female Mogwai in existence.
